I am writing to you today to thank you for all the things that you have helped me and the group with. We  had an absolute blast and the memories made will forever be some of the greatest highlights of my life. I did notice that I over talked you over a couple of times on the lug.  Thank you for looking out for all of us, making sure I did all the things right on the flying fox and being super fun to be around. 

One of my highlights were Rock clubbing and height rop. You are a great role model to all of us and I will love to see you again at camp next year at campion. Thank you so much for this great experience.

So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.  I had an amazing time and I'll  remember it forever and ever.

The big wave

 The big wave

When you're just a little girl the ocean is as big as the universe.

I thought I'd never be able to do what my sister and her friends could do. They could swim unguis the humongous waves.  

As I walked towards the colossal waves. My heart was jumping out of my chest like a frog.

So I was in the deep cloudy water as the waves got bigger into  enormous as big as the sun.!! 

When I got out of the water I sprinted to my mum on the beach because when you're just a 2 years old girl the ocean looks as big as the universe.

today i was writing a story about a time i was frightened.

i found it hard to pick a time i was scared because i am always scared.

i enjoyed writing it because i got to larf about what i was scared of.

next time i think i don't need to do anything.

today i was learning about how to make a Information Report Poster.

I enjoyed choosing my topic to do it on because i like Orca.

i found nothing  hard because it was all easy,

i enjoyed posting it to my blog because i go to say what i was doing.

Chinese Language week

 

this week was Chinese Language week at are school.

i enjoyed making the slide because i got to use the translate to mandarin link.

i found it difficult to choose the words to translate because there was a lot to choose from.

Faith poster

 

            today we were learning about faith and how to make a poster about it.

I enjoyed making the poster because i got to draw, and i love drawing.

I didn't find anything hard because it was easy.

Next time i think i could get a better photo because you can't read the whiting.

today we were taking videos of are speeches.

i enjoyed videoing my speech because i got to go outside.

 i found it hard to say  y speech because i was nervous.

next time i will take a better video because it was not good quality.

Orcinus Orca

 The Orcinus orca is one of the biggest members in the dolphin family. They also swim in pods mostly of 40. They are also known as the king of the sea. They also weigh up to 6 tons(5,443 kilograms).

Orca are black and white. They have huge teeth to catch fish and other things. They have a flexible tail and they have fins like dolphins. They look a bit like magpies and are cheeky like them too. Orca don't have normal ears like we do, they have echolocation. So they can connect with their friends and their pods. Orcas also have brilliant eye sight to see their prey. 

Orca live worldwide in the ocean. Sometimes offshore and in cold water and Antarctic water too. Most of the time they live in tropical places with dark blue seas and sometimes in clear waters.

Orca are carnivores. They like to eat seals, fish and squid. They have to come up for air like dolphins and they can hold their breath for a long long time. Orca have a motion of swimming up and down like whales.

Orcas need to be protected because they were around when the dinosaurs lived on earth. They are one of the kings of the sea and I think that they need to be looked after.

I enjoyed choosing the topic because i got to do do my favorite animal which is an Orca.

i found it hard to find the facts about them because i didn't know that much.

Next time i don't think i can do anything better.

3 sacraments of initiation

                                     today i was learning the 3 sacraments of initiation at school.

                                    i enjoyed making it because i got to used wevideo.

                                      i found it hard to to right the  script because i had to 

                                        learn the 3 sacraments of  initiation.

                                     next time i think we could add what the sacraments ment.

 

CST meaning

today i was learning about what CST mens.

i found it hard to research what CST is because i had to read about it.

i enjoyed making the slide because i liked choosing the background.

next time i think i could do more slides because i didn't get time 

Dolphins are endangered

 

I was learning how to right a speech in class

I enjoyed writing my speech because I liked convincing people to save dolphins.

I found it hard to research the facts because I had to research them.

I don't think I can do anything better.

Haven't you always longed to see majestic dolphins jumping through the crystal clear water? Well I have and have even been lucky enough to see them in real life, in England. Dolphins habitat is becoming more crowded by boats, they are hunted in Japan and they are getting tangled in fishnets.  They are the most amazing animal in the ocean and I believe we need to act now and save these unique creatures. 

According to the department of conservation New Zealand is the marine capital of the world. There are 42 species of whales and dolphins in NZ.  Dolphins swim in pods mostly of 40 with there family but sometimes they are separated from their pods by fishing boats. Dolphins love to jump close to boats and swim underneath them, although this would be amazing it can be dangerous for the dolphins sometimes. I strongly urge you to be aware of dolphins when on a motor boat. If you see a pod of dolphins it is best to keep your speed to a minimum and no wake allowed within 300 meters of the pod.  So  please make sure you approach dolphins slowly and with care. 

Secondly, Hunting dolphins is not okay. Japan hunts and kills dolphins for food. It is pretty brainless as you will get poisoned by their meat. It contains mercury that is not meant to be eaten. I think that people should stop killing dolphins for their meat because it is harsh and unintelligent. 

Finally, when people go fishing their fishing nets go in the dolphins path and they get tangled in it. Imagine getting taggeld and struggling to get out and seeing your whole pod swimming off without you. When they get caught they get stuck because they can’t swim. They can't catch any food. They can’t go up for air. So they struggle and eventually die. This is torture. They are innocent creatures and they deserve to live an enjoyable life.

In conclusion, there is no question that dolphins need to be saved. Their habitats are becoming more crowded by boats, they are hunted in Japan and they are getting tangled in fishnets. We need to think about what we are doing and every move we take. Dolphins are very smart but many are becoming or are already endangered, so we need to act now. The sea and the animals that live in it is one of God’s greatest given gifts so we need to protect the ocean and its creatures.

Great barrier reef faces

• The Great Barrier Reef is the only living thing on Earth that can be seen from space.
• the reef lies between 15 and 150 kilometres offshore. 
• in some places it is 65 kilometres wide.
• soft coral dose not have a skeleton. it's body is soft and and jelly-like so it looks more like a plant.  
• some types of coral make a poison that has a unpleasant taste for predators.

I am leaning how to get faces out of a book and writ them doune.

I found it hard to get the faces out of the book because i had to read it.

I enjoyed learning about the Great barrier reef because i didn't know that much.

Next time i don't think i need to do anymore.

Weta

classification: 

An Weta is from the Grasshopper family. Which are Insect's. They are different Insect's in there family to like Giant weta, cave crickets, tree weta and fallai, Deinacrida. 

Description: 

Weta have six legs. They have a thick armour on the outside of their bodies called an exoskeleton to protect them from any predators. They also weigh there mice.

Location:  

Weta have been in New zealand since Dinosaurs were on Earth. You can find them in old logs. in wet dark places or even in Zoos or ECO santrees.

Dynamics:

They also do big circles poos to fertilize the ground. so the trees can grow so the Weta's Nef that are babys weta can live on the trees and then it just goes in a circle. The circle of life. 

They also moult ten times a year and two months.    

  

  

Cyclone Information Report

to day i was learning how to do an information report.

i found it hard to take a screencastify because it took a long time.

i enjoyed making the information report because i got to do research.

i don't think i need to do anything better because i did it all right.     

Faith value Challenge

This Term our school value is Faith so we either had to do a paper copy or a computer copy I did a paper copy.

I enjoyed drawing because it is my favorite thing to do and it is so fun.

I found finding the bible quote hard because i had to look through the whole bible.

 

cyclone Bola

Today I was learning to create a book cover about cyclone Bola.

i found nothing hard because it was simple.

i enjoyed writing the title because i got to choose a font.

next time i will choses a better photo because you can't really see the cyclone.

daddy long legs summary

you mitt think that daddy long legs are creepy crawlies  but there quite fascinating. harvestmen have one body section and two eyes, wile most spiders have two body section and eight eyes. most people think that daddy long legs  are venomous but hasn't been proved by scientists yet.

Today i was learning about daddy long legs.

I found it hard to do a summary of them because i had to read the text.

I enjoyed learning about them because i learnt more then i know

next time i will right more because i did not do that much     

The Jungle in My Garden

today i was learning how to summarise the story The Jungle in My Garden.
i found it hard to summarise because i had to read the story.
i enjoyed finding the facts because i got to put them into the slide.
next time i will get more facs because i have not got that meny.

Cars

Today we were learning about cars in the olden day and now.
I found it hard to say were cars were made because i don't know much about cars.
I enjoyed looking at the difference of the cars now and the cars in the olden day because i got to look at photos.
Next time i will say more about what i was doing because i did not say that much.

Teeth

The rippled water was squishing against the old man's dingy. That was floating the peaceful lake. The green trees were pointing up to the misty sky. They looked at each other in silence. There fishing rods were in between them tugging fish at the other end. A cold breeze swished past them. They could hear the water from the lake moving towards the mountains it was peaceful and quiet.

Oru blue planet

today i was learning about our blue planet.
i found it hard to writ what i know because i don't know that much.
i enjoyed reading about our blue planet because i learnt a lot.
next time i will write more about what i want to know because i did not writ much.

I did this poster because we were learning about nz music month at school.
I enjoyed making the poster because i liked doing the background on it.

Today we were learning about the story we read with are teacher could Cuz.
I enjoyed listening  the book because it was fascinating how they got stuck on Milford Sound.

Matariki quiz

Today I was learning about matariki quizzes so i made my own.
I found it hard to make shour the quiz questions worked because I had to
 press every questions.
I enjoyed making the quiz because i got to ask questions about matariki.
Next time I will do more slides because there wasn't many. 

My 2020 lockdown

Crunch, crunch, crunch my feet were squashing
the golden sand as the crystal clear water was smoothly
crashing onto it.  I was carrying my huge blue surfboard next to my dad
in a blak thick wetsuit   ‘Dad why is there no one in the sea?
‘Because they're not allowed. What? Why are we in the sea then?
Don't tell your mum that  we are breaking the rules. Dad! 

Crash, crash the humongous waves were
pushing us down under the waves all you could
see was are heds popping up and down in the freezing
cold blue sea. finally after all that rakit we got past those
huge waves and were out in the flat sea.Wow Dad look! The sea
looked as if it was empty. It was so clear that I could see the
sand at the bottom. We waited about 4 of 5 minutes before there was
a  huge set that came tumbling  in. ‘you riddy’ yep i replied. my dad
leaped 

Off his board and pushed me into the green enormous wave.
It was if I was on Skis. Well i carving the wave i herd my Dad saying
GO LULU!! I had a huge smile on my witt could fas.

Today we were learning and reading about shells.
I found it hard to do the  Question Chart because we had to read the book to fiend the  question.
I enjoyed posting it on to my blog because got to say what i was doing .

I found it difficult to uesed  the circle because you can't fit much writing.

this week we were learning about matariki
I found it difficult to spell mutariki because it is a maori word.
I enjoyed finding the questions because i got to watch the matariki video.

Jesus ascending to Heaven

I did this because we were learning about Jesus ascending to Heaven.

I found it hard to find the images of the disciples.

I liked choosing the layout of the picture because it was fun.

Coved 19 poster

I did this drawing because  we are in this together and we will stay together.

I  found it hard to write the quote because it was hard to think of one.

I enjoyed drawing the hands because i got to do them in charcoal.
Next time i will do the quote in a easier font to read

i made this 3D card for mother's day. the picture in the middle is my mum i  draw.

i found it hard to do the 3D things because some times it did not stay up.

i enjoyed making the paint brush because i got to yous card.

I did this video with my sister Bo because its a song we can both relate to.
We found it hard to choreograph it because we have different type of taste in dance.
 

Dolphin Discovery

In November I went with my family to visit my Aunty Kelly in Florida. She has the coolest job ever, working with sea animals that have been hurt and need looking after.
She is the CEO of Clearwater Marine Aquarium and I was lucky enough to go to work with her. I arrived to work early in the morning before any of the public turned up.
I also got to prepare all the cages and tanks making sure they were nice and clean.
The best part was giving them all their breakfast, giving them a good start to the day. I was able to feed the otters, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, pelicans and dolphins.
I learnt a lot especially about dolphins.
I hope you like my video.

Mothers Day

I did this for my mum for mothers day on sunday ,10 of May 2020.
I found it hard to yous word Art because i never had youst it before.
I enjoyed posting it on to my blog because i got to say how much i love my mum.

I made this play clay because it was one of my activities to do.

I found it hard to knead the clay because it was very sticky to and stiff.

I enjoyed coloring  the clay blue because it made me look like a smurf.

Next time i will more of the clay.

I did this flower flag for my mum and dads friend,
I found it hard to fiend  the right flowers to you's because they were all different colors.
I enjoyed seeing how they tern out like.

How i did the flower flag.
1. i found some flowers and kept them.
2. i got an hammer and a chopping board and a pes of material.
3.i put a flower on the chopping board and laid the material over top of the flower, then i got the hammer  and baninged the material with the flower underneath, then you'll
 see the enk cume throw the   material.

Sea slug’s travels

When the brown sea slug squirts a purpleink it means it is scared or worried.
An octopus does the same.
The green shell on the back of the slug is like a shield for them,
to protect them from rocks and shells. Their antennas are to feel if there is
anything coming their way and to feel the vibrations in the water.
They have camouflage skin. It would be like a green P in a green blanket, you wouldn’t be
able to see it. So the brown sea slug camouflages themselves in the rocks and seaweed so thay
are hard to find.

1. The purple ink is thick and slimy likes not, they do this when they are worried or alarmed.

2. There is a shell on their back. The green shell is there to protect them from rock crabs.

3. Their antennas are to sense the way around like how we have eyes
to see a way around. How they do this is a stick there antennas out and
wiggle them around so they can feel the vibrations in the water.

4. The camouflage skin is to camouflage them from prey.

     i did this drawing of my mum because  i am very grateful for her because she helps me all the time.
so i say thank you to Jesus for putting her  in the world and crating my family and the live we have. 

                                       

                                       

                                         I stacked 8 objects alphabetically 

                                         I found it difficult to balance the objects, because they
                                                    were all being balanced on an apple.
                                    I enjoyed finding all the objects to stack, because it was quite hard 
                                                      and challenging.
                                       Next time I would try stacking more objects.

    This place is  important to me and my family, because we live here and me and my Dad love surfing, swimming and snorkeling here. Every night me and my family absolutely love going for walks on the  beach with our cat!

‘’Tweet, tweet, tweet’’. The birds were chirping outside my window. My eyes slowly opened, then I realised it was Easter! I leapt out of bed, my Mum and Dad were sitting at the table. I shouted to them ‘It's Easter!’’. My Mum and Dad looked at me. What are you waiting for? Go wake your sister up. I scurried into my sister's room, and shouted Bo! wake up. I ran outside, slipped on my shoes and started looking for the Easter eggs.

Bo was slowly following behind me. I looked into the bush and under the big Bamboo tree and there it was. A big ,brown ,yummy Easter egg, just sitting there. After 5 minutes we found all the eggs. Dad slowly walked down the steps and he said ‘’You ready to roll them?’’. We stumbled over to our next door neighbour's driveway, luckily he wasn't there. We lined up our feet to the top of the driveway. ‘’On your marks, Get set, GO!!!

Bo rolled her egg first, it rolled like a boulder going down a mountain. It reached halfway then it splattered all over the driveway. ‘’AAAAH!’’ Bo Sighed, with disappointment. Then it was my go. I gently pushed my egg down the driveway. It slowly turned onto the grass, then it stopped. ‘’Ha ha, ha ha, mine went the furthest’’. Bragged Bo, annoyingly.

Camo Challenge

This is a video of me taking part in the camo challenge.
I found it hard to stay in position for 10 seconds without moving.
I enjoyed revealing myself at the end, because it was really nice to get some air. I used my mums skirt to climb inside of and this helped me to stretch in and out of position easily.
Next time I would include an object, like my cat, to make it more interesting and give people something else to look at.

Breath

I did this art piece because sometimes you need to stop and breath. At times like this it is important to stop, breathe and take in what you need to. I think we need to remember the good things and be grateful for what we have.
I found it difficult doing the mountain, because I wanted it to be textured and so I used something called Gesso. It is a texture paste and it is very sticky.
I really enjoyed painting the sea,  because  I liked mixing and blending all of the blues.
Next time I will take more care on the waves, because I think it was a little rushed.
The best part of my painting, which I am most proud of is the face. I think I did a great job at using tone to make her look 3D.
